The Molly Rose Foundation, established in memory of Molly Russell, who tragically took her own life after viewing harmful content on platforms like Instagram, has voiced strong opposition. Chief Executive Andy Burrows warns that "forced disclosures could do more harm than good," potentially panicking parents and leaving them ill-equipped to handle sensitive conversations. Ged Flynn, chief executive of Papyrus Prevention of Young Suicide, points to the larger problem of algorithmic amplification of harmful content.
